i Dedications are made for men who successfully pledge their lives to a certain cause or idea to establish a better way of doing things, a better system, or a better institution that will benelit others. Dr. Carl J. Brueggemann is a man who fits this description like a tailored su it. He graduated from C.C.H. in 1949 but returned in the time it takes to wrap an ankle, to serve the school not only as an alumnus, but as a friend, avid in spirit and tantamount in dedication. we were bruised, he has picked many of us up when we were de and most importantly, has given us hope when there was doubt. Now we have a new baseball, track and football held to thank him and his Score Committee for, but he seeks no reward though one day it will b great. Reflecting on what he's' done we have to think he composed the school motto, HA Spirit That Will Not Die, for it dehnitely Hows in his blood. C One may ask, llWhy does he continue administering help and services to a high school? Cer- tainly not publicity, for there is none given. He continues laboring for one reason, he uloves C.C.H., and all the gold in Fort Knox can't pay a salary who's collateral is love, because it is priceless. Therefore, we hope our humble thanks and these few paragraphs of grati- tude will suffice because our feelings come from the soul. To Doc Brueggemann, the olde: practicing Colonel we know, thanks. i
