Springs and summers, autumns and winters merge and blend to form the happy times known as high school. This book, the Cardinal, symbolizes the passing of another memorable year-a very enjoyable year providing a chance for each student to aid our school working side by side with all the other members. Everyone has indeed helped our school with discretion and enthusiasm. This is the true spirit of service--willingness. We must naturally have respect for the work that is done, but the desire for it is ever more essential. Through the excitement, apprehension, esprit dc corps, work- ing as ideal mixtures, we can remember and recall how we have enjoyed the benefits that each helped to give. 4 Let us not forget the day our student body officers stepped into office, then elected industrious, willing workers to follow as leaders next year. Pride was displayed in our newly completed grandstands and the gym buildings. With the switchboard, clocks and heating installed during the year, more efficiency was added to benefit the entire school. Here in these pages we all meet again, some for the last time before going to serve elsewhere. Our friends remind us of each joyous moment told page by page through this book, unlocking memories cherished and never forgotten. WORD 3
