The pencils were one and one-half to two inches long and all had valuable erasers in them. Bob says that if they had taken his Geometry book instead of the pencils it would not have been so bad because he needed the pencils to erase misspelled words. The Hon. P. J. Bates of the Bates Detective Agency got to work immediately. He is confident that the stolen articles will be recovered.
