May Day was celebrated as Centennial Day this year because of the Oregon Centennial. Connie Maynard was chosen as queen. The Seniors dressed in Centennial clothing, and the Grades presented a program depicting Oregon in 1859. The program was climaxed by all the students taking part in the last scene where Oregon became a state. The solemn march in began the program. Remember ? 37 Check that large...elbow. You’ll never find it!! PROM and BANQUET School Picnic You mean you -- Beverly! The student body left May 29th for the yearly spring picnic at Wallowa Lake. A great deal of time was spent out on the lake in speedboats, canoes, and water bikes. After a large lunch and some more fun on the lake the rain finally drove the students home. Although it was overcast and rained most of the day, spirits could not be dampened because it was the last day of school. Rarin’ to go! Ain’t she sweet?? A dizzy ride on a motorboat affected Betty and Judy in very different ways.
