We have slowly, but surely, advanced through the stages of Freshman, Sophomore and Junior years, finally reaching the rank of Senior. In our Freshman year, several of our girls went out for basketball. Those receiving suits were Charlotte Loflin, Claudine Wiles, Carolyn Bowman and Faye Plott. The class officers were: President, Sherry Baity, Vice-President, Melva Legans, Secretary, Mary Reavis, and Treasurer, Georgia Cranfill. We were very proud to have Mr. and Miss Courtney High elected from our class. They were Patsy Holden and Howard McKnight. We were sorry to lose Mary Lou Melton. In our Sophomore year, several of our students made the basket- ball team. They were Mary Reavis, Charlotte Loflin, Claudine Wiles and Faye Plott. Our officers were: President, Dean Norris, Vice-President, Tommy Joyner, Secretary, Georgia Cranfill, Treasurer, Carole Hoots, Song Leader, Melva Legans, and Reporter, Sherry Baity. We lost 7 students that year. Our Junior year was highlighted by the Junior-Senior Banquet and the Junior Play. We lost 3 students this year. Our officers were: President, Sherry Baity, Vice-President, Junior Gough, Secretary, Mary Reavis, Treas- urer, Georgia Cranfill, Reporters, Carole Hoots, Ruth Melton, and Song Leader, Charlotte Loflin. We have now reached our Senior year with a total of 33 pupils. Our class is taking part in many activities, such as P. T.A. programs, Annual Staff, Beta Club, Sports and the Senior Play. Senior Class officers are President, Junior Gough, Vice-President, Sherry Baity, Secretary, Georgia Cran- fill, Treasurer, Mary Reavis, and Reporter, Annie Lois Felts. We were happy to gain Shelby Martin and Addie Belle Hoots Poindexter. We were proud to have Mary Reavis elected as Miss Courtney High School.
