CLASS PROPHECY As I look into the future, I see the Senior Class of '56 scattered throughout the world. Let's see what they are doing. I see: ELAINE ALLGOOD is now a model for Conover School in New York. JERRY CAIN is still single, flirting with all the girls. BILLY GOINS is now the new owner of Popular Tavern. PAULINE DINKINS is now designing the latest fashions in Hollywood. DONALD MYERS is where he should be, happy because he is still Loafing. RONNY MACEMORE has finally settled down and has himself a new brick home. WANDA HAUSER is now top athletic coach in Hawaii - Hulal Hulal BOYD PRUITT is now playing ball for the New York Yankees. MARY JANE JOYNER is a music supervisor, but hasn't decided whether to go to West Yadkin or Harmony. JERRY RENEGAR is now driving a senicruiser for Greyhound. JERRY RAY REAVIS is now serving in the United States Navy stationed at Los Angeles, Califor- ma. SHELBIA MILTON is now traveling to Nashville, Tennessee, where someone plays music the way she likes it. ROGER SHORE is now a busy man carrying mail in Yadkin County. FRANKIE STEELMAN is now head nurse at City Memorial Hospital. JERRY LEE REAVIS is now where he should be, selling Calculating Machines and Typewriters. HAROLD LIVERGOOD is now working in the office at Western Electric. NANCY BREWBAKER is now flying high as an Airline Stewardess. KENNETH ALLEN is now sales manager for Stabler Pontiac. NANCY BREWBAKER and KENNETH ALLEN Class Prophets CLASS HISTORY We entered high school in 1952 with 23 pupils. Several of our girls went out for Basketball. They were Wanda Hauser, Elaine Allgood, Betty Jo Rutledge. The class elected their officers that year as follows: President, Elaine Allgood, Vice-Presi- dent, Betty Jo Rutledge, Secretary, Wanda Hauser, Treasurer, Frankie Steelman, Reporter, Mary Jane Joyner. ln our Sophomore year several of our students began to play on the Basketball teams, and be in the Glee Club and 4-H Clubs. Wanda Hauser and Betty Jo Rutledge made the first team. The officers for our Sophomore year were as follows: President, Donald Myers, Vice-Presi- dent, Betty Jo Rutledge, Secretary, Elaine Allgood, Reporter, Mary Jane Joyner, Treasurer, Wan- da Hauser. We were very proud of our new student, Clyde Brown. Our Junior year was highlighted by the Junior-Senior Banquet, and the Junior Play. Two students dropped out. They were: Shelby Dinkins and Dottie Lashmint. The following class officers were: President, Tommy Wiles, Vice-President, Clyde Brown, Treasurer, Wanda Hauser, Secretary, Elaine Allgood, Reporter, Billy Goins. We have now reached our Senior Year. Our class is taking part in many activities, such as the Newspaper, Chapel Programs, P.T.A. Programs, Annual Staff, Beta Club, and Sports. We have playing on the Basketball team this year: Wanda Hauser, Elaine Allgood, Shelbia Milton. We were sorry to lose Tommy Wiles, Betty Jo Rutledge, Clyde Brown, but happy to gain Harold Livengood. Senior class officers are: President, Jerry Reavis, Vice-President, Ronny Macemore, Secre- tary, Mary Jane Joyner, Treasurer, Wanda Hauser, Reporter, Frankie Steelman.
