SOPHOMCRE CLASS To fifty-eight sophomore students, sophomore activities are important land- marks. With a great deal of pleasure we turned to the first of these-the Freshman Initiation. After introducing the freshman properly to our school traditions and student body we treated them to refreshments as a reward for being good sports. Our class generously supported the Iunior Bed Cross contributing more than any other registration class. Now we are looking forward to using our artistic abilities in decorating the auditorium for the graduating seniors. On the honor roll appear the names of many members of our class and in athletics, several of our boys represent us in football, basketball, and baseball. Appreciation is due to Mrs. Lent, our sophomore advisor, as counselor. 'hm 1'1'r:-gslzgggysvm-m Ng, .final 'ss The Sophomore Class Officers are: President ........ Vice-President .... Secretary .... FRESHMAN CLASS Sixty-three eager smiling students ascended the steps of Courtland High School each exclaiming to himself, And now I am a high school student! With the aid of our faculty advisor, Mrs. Higgins, we organized a loyal and active group. We freshmen were officially introduced to the student body by the sophomores --perhaps With a little injury to our pride, but an injury soon forgotten in our enjoyment -of the procedure. Twenty-one freshmen are on the semester second honor roll and Elaine Yamao on the first honor roll receiving all A'.s. With seven members participating, We are Well represented on the various athletic teams. Considering this a good beginning, We hope that the three years to follow will be as ha1DPY and as successful. .Bill Hutchinson Freshmen class officers ' 7, , :ffl 53.07 , . '-5 f , fn .1-45,-m. ::a1
