SHOPS continued Metal fabrication techniques are taught in two shop courses under the general heading, METALS. V The Welding cours is intended to give all students a fundamental background in arc and oxy-acetylene welding. The emphasis is on mastery of hand manipulative skill: to develop success ful welding techniques and gain an under- standing of the equipmentand specialized tools being used in the welding field. SHOPS continued Equipped with professional machinery and actual shop situations, Courter Tech's NEEDLE TRADES instruct students on how to follow a pattern, design and make clothes, and the proper care of garments. The Dressmaking and Tailoring classes teach the use and care of equipment, safety, the assembly of clothes, and clothes designing.
