The morning of Saturday, May 20, found the members of this year's Prom Committee busy at work decorating the Convention Center. This was a climax to approx- mately six weeks of hard work and preparation for the event. The theme, Diamonds Are Forever, had been de- :ided upon early in April, -with ideas for decorations iinalized about a month before the Prom. Committee nembers spent the next several weeks making the cen- s S C Q X X t X ' ...,s.. 2 terpieces and preparing the entrance and stage decor- ations. Silver and Royal Blue were the theme colors and that Saturday as the decorations went up, the room sparkled with giant radiant cut diamonds, re- flecting panels of silver mylar and shimmering mir- rors against blue net. Candle centerpieces encrusted with glitter and strung with crystal prisms and beads were on the tables. This was to be the setting for our 19-72 Junior-Senior Prom. 1,A
