In the Southwestern District Meet, Tech earned the crown by sewing a low 68 points. J ohn McMullen and Jim Berry led the team, finishing first and second respectively. Comte? won the PHSL title with a 154-point total. The season has had a poor beginning, but team coach, Mr. Andreadis, is hoping the team will pull to- gether and come on strong. 'The team is composed of about half lettermen who are returning for a second or third, year. The new- comers look very promising for future years. Some of the returning varsity lettermen a're Gary Cox at first base, Dennis Pohl at second base, Archie Austin at thied base, and A. Allen, pitcher. The team is on the road to improvement as the season continues, and they hope to contend for the championship.
