COURTER TECHNICAL HIGH SCHOOL CINCINNATI, OHIO awfgvmaf .2 4 g I ' nmiilili autumn On September 7 , although the fall weather had not yet begun, students at Courter Technical High School started the new school year. Football season began with the Pigskin Preview and victories over Hughes and Walnut Hills. Shirley Smith was our football queen. By the end of the season the team had been victorious over Taft, Aiken, and Walnut Hills. Meanwhile, our cross country team was making an excellent showing by bringing home the PHSL and district championships. Several excellent assemblies, such as Charles King and the Chrysler Sing- ers, were presented to the students while the Go-Round presented some of Courterk own talent. On Novem- ber 19 and 20 A Night of Plays? comprised of four one-acts, was per- formed by further Courter talent. Rounding out the fall season was an exhibition basketball game with guests, Covington Catholic. And 50, the autumn activities presented a good take-ojf for 1965-66 at Courter. xillaaVlzlgs, .. -.m., . .QM'. H... mm.m.....- mm, m... 5 HX I4. . , ab, E. .1 u . In ' II .- l. a: I. The C hristmas assembly and the Y-Teen contest to collect baskets for needy families highlighted the season. Soon after vacation, exam time rolled around. As the second semester began, 50 did the snows. Those who made it to school found classes too small for work to continue. As the snows came down, the Seniors sponsored an ice skating party at the Cincinnati Gardens. Basketball, gymnastics, and swimming he- came the sports of the season, and our gym- nastics team again was a championship one. During the final days 0 f F ehruary the stun dent body was presented an assembly by Mr. Ted Bumiller entitled A Summer in Italy? To close out the winter the PENDULUM staf;T sponsored its annual dance, In a lap- anese G ardeny A t this we found out that our 196 6 M 'r.
