That Qld Gang of Qurs Of cour e you will laugh when you look at this picture' everyone does. Werent we a funny looking bunch? We were in the seventh grade at the Wa hington School when this picture 'was taken. When I think about it now I always feel ju t a little bit orry for Miss Irwin and Mrs. Stewart. They were our teachers then and the pranks we used to pull off. Well they weren t tame. Of cour e we weren t really bad but you know kids will be kids. Kll th boy w re nicknamed ard, tho nam-c have tuck with them all through the high vchool. Theiel Red Jolly Pat Bunny T.nk Pete Yonk and all the ie t. You may not re-cognlize all us girls. I ho-pe we have changed a little bit. There is Albertine Scott and Catherine Crowley. They are in the picture. Catherine is at Manhattan now and Allbertine is attending K. U. this year. Elisabeth Sherfey was .graduated -last. year and is married now. I d-on't suppose you can fail to recognize Dorothy Amrine, Ruth Robbins, Nel- lie Taylor, Mable Wodke, Zerita Wilson, Rlozella Hills, and Nell Cress. They are all with the Class of '24 now. There are a lot of 'kids in 'this picture 'who have dropped by the wayside. Some have moved away, some have quit school, and others are married. There are a few of them that I sorta wonder where they are. Well, we all got through the sefventh grade. In the eighth grade VaLera Berry and Emmett Torrance joined our class. That year we had a new teach- er, Mr. Sonnenberg, and we are glad to say he is still with us. We were grad- uated from the grades, just as all classes are, only we 'were just a little bit more im-portant than any other class had. been. In our Freshman year our number was almost doubled by the kids from the country. We soon found out they were the right sort. Dorothy Keys came b-ack to us in our Freshman year. She had been away three years In our Sophomore year Gnace Fleming, Rosalind South, Audra Blossom and Vernon Gordon, joined us, and in our Junior year Ferne Vinsant. Christmas time of our Senior ye-ar, Ellen Cripe, Helen Haney, Bessie Braun, and Wlilma Rose came to us from the Juniors. These additions were a great help. I won'-t spend any time tellling you about ofur high scho-ol career, because you all know that we are beyond a doubt the biggest and best class that has ever been graduated from C. G. S., and say folks, we sure hate to go. N. M. C. Y Page Twenty-six it ' it T 41 le.',..
