Coach Anthony Ruddy's Crusaders are com- pleting another excellent season as we go to press. The fighting Red and Blue have vvon Five games and lost two and are scrambling for the Wycmming Valley League Championship. Stan Schuster, enjoying a non-surpassed year at the plate. leads the team in batting per cent and in runs-batted-in. Co-captains Bob Harearik and liraneis lvvieki are also key men in the champion- ship plans. The mound staff. composed of Al h'Capone Horoszy, Yogi Terpaek, Steve Marko, and Danny Franks, is one of the most effective in the area. Coughlin continued its winning streak against the other city schools in defeating both C.A.R. and Meyers twice-each by lop-sided scores. The opening-day loss to Kingston came as the result of five errors and feeble hitting on the part of Cough- lin. However, as the season progressed, the bat- ting attack began to cliekg and the Crusader bats- men, to date, have assaulted rival pitchers for a total of eighty base hits and sixty-nine runs. Graduating members of the team are: Al Davis, Paul Sorokas, Dan Terpaek, Francis lwie- ki, and Bob Harearik. The graduating managers are: Iimmie Iaekiewiez and Frank Klitehko. Returning to next year's line-up will be: Stan Schuster, Steve Rembish, Joe Hurley, Leon Strone, Goose Wargo, Al Horoszy, Al Harearik, Chap- py Zimmerman, and '6Ducky', DePolo. We wish the best of luck to the future teams, and we hope that they will have the continued success their predecessors have had. iltl Elltlll SEUTH C.H.S Kingston C.H.S G.A.R. C.H.S Meyers C.H.S.
