A Trade Crusaders Enjoy Undeieated Season The '54 Coughlin Track Team, coached by Mr. Peel, has had a successful season. In their first meet against Hanover the Crusaders emerged with a score of 862f3 to their opponent's score of 4Olf3. ln ending the season of '53 the Coughlin Red and Blue won from Meyers, Hanover, and Kingston but lost Loading UPIMY- Peel? to G.A.R. They carried this spirit into '54 with the Crusaders' Track Team winning five out of five meets. Sparked by school spiri,t the Coughlinites overran Kingston with a score of 74 to 53, Meyers by a score of lOU1f3 to ZGZX3, and Plymouth to the tune of 94 to 33. The field meets at which Coughlin scored its big- best tallies were in meets against Plymouth, Hanover, and Meyers where Coughlin reigned supreme with scores of 94, 862f3, and lUU1f3. The members of the senior class and the entire school congratulate the Team and Wish the l955 Track Team a most successful season-to-come. x N Y What's up? The bases are loaded Another strike out First ball one hundred two Bzzfebzzll Coughlin Crusaders Take Two League Along with spring fever, each year, baseball. The Coughlin team, with Mr. as coach, took its opening League Games comes Ruddy game against Meyers, the South Wilkes-Barre rivals, to the tune ot 7 to O. In the game with Hanover, Couglilin was edged out by 3 to 3, while C.H.S. took the honors in an exciting game with Kingston by l to 0 margin. The G.A.R. vs. Coughlin contest ended with Grenadiers shutting out the Crusaders the Z to O. In the final exhibition game of the season with Lake-Noxen, C.H.S. defeated its foes 3 to l. The second game saw the Red and Blue suffer a loss at the hands of Newport. From a tied score in the last inning, Newport brought on its power and won 7 to 6. Plym- outh and Hazleton both edged Coughlin out. C.H.S. ended the season with a compiled record of one win and three losses in the ex- hibition games, and a two record tie in the first half of the League standings.
