SPECIALIZED TRAINING Students were given many opportunities to learn new subiects this year. Among these were Pre-F light Aeronautics. taught by Mr. West and Mr. Hensley: Automotive Mechanics. by Mr. Pendergast: and International Morse Code, by Mr. Connor. These subiects deal with the fundamentals basic to further training and are useful to those people going into the serv- ice. Out of every one hundred men inducted, sixty-three are assigned to specialized training. Those who know fundamentals of electricity, auto mechanics, and radio are essential to the Army programs. The auto mechanics course included sixty hours of theory and one hun- dred and twenty hours of practical work. The automobile which was dismantled was con- tributed by the Iunior Chamber of Commerce.
