3:1551 5' BOVE is the main entrance of the shoe as the crowds come pouring out. Seen on an ordinary day, the school seems to provide ample room. Nevertheless, the huge enrollment-more than 2500-is a problem. Since the rooms of Coughlin proper are filled, the surplus of the student body finds lodging in what is popularly called the Old Building, and on two floors of the Union Street Grammar School. On the morning of the opening day of school, the three upper classes filled the auditorium. In the afternoon, the freshman class alone occupied a large portion of the first floor. Owing to this condition, the freshman class was divided into two parts and the halves alternate in attending chapel exercises.
