As the pictures were flashed on the screen, the speaker told about each, its location and points of beauty. Some of the most deeply interested spectators at Mr. lVlarlcham's lecture were the mem- bers of the Aviation Club. To many of them, the sights from an airplane will in years to come be very familiar, for they naturally intend to continue their worlc in aeronautical fields. These boys are already deeply versed in the subject of aviation. At their regular meet- ings, most of the time is given over to discussions of new types of planes, new developments, W W , , ,,.. Ar various times, individual members who belong to national aviation groups receive pamphlets, which are read to the club. Two years ago the Aviation Club started an airplane model building contest which has since become a regular institution. This contest, besides arousing interest in aviation throughout the school, adds many fine models to the club's already substantial collection. In addition to model planes, the club has many actual airplane parts. A nine foot, wooden propeller is their prize possession. They also have an altimeter, an actual airplane carburetor and cylinder, and many flying instruments. Officers for the first semester are: president, Milton Edelman, recording secretary, Joseph Stichg Hnancial secretary, john Lorenzinig treasurer, John Emanslcig chairman of committees, Frank Edwards.
