W f if The week before Easter holidays EL VAQUERO Staff ,,fgg stunned the student body with certain news stories stating I fi that CHS Gets New Gym, CHS Quits Football, and Jr, Hi. Coach Goes Berserk. It was their idea of an April Fool joke and everybody got a good laugh out of it. District tennis meets were held in Pearsall, April 10, and Cotulla won more than our share of first and second places. Charles Darnell brought back the Pearsall Relays Tennis Singles trophy, After about a month of fidget- 1 ing by the girls, their jackets fin- ally came in. They were maroon with gold letters. April 6 was the date the Sen- iors attended the Baptist Banquet, It was a real banquet complete with food, speeches, and entertain- --W The Cowboy Band represents us at the ment. Everyone said that they had Fiesta in San Antonio- the BEST time. Favorites were elected April 13. Everyone was dying to know who got what, but Mr. Tal- bott kept it a secret for TWO WEEKS! Our dear faculty members began burning midnight oil in preparation of torture ffinal examsj which they would throw at us in several weeks. These decided to take a wee breather at the Jr. -Sr. Prom.
