Did you miss us when you came to school and found it just about empty? It really looked funny to see all the wide awake seniors gathering in front of the school around 14:00 a.m., with their blankets, pillows, food, and what ever else they could carry. Finally everyone was there and loaded, and we left about 11:30 a.m, We were off! After one of the busses made a slight detour to Lamberton, we were under way again. we arrived at Killen Woods State Park at 6:15 a.m. for breakfast. We left at 8:16 a.m. after a little search for a couple of people C?D. We arrived at the Grotto at ll:00 and we could look around until ll:30. It was very pretty and everyone had a lot of fun looking around. We got to Lake Okaboji around 1:00 p.m., bought our tickets, and started investigating everything in sight and going on rides. We had all afternoon free. At 7:30 a boat loaded for a dance on the lake. The dance lasted until 10:00 p.m. A small group went roller skating instead. we left for home about 11:30. we tried to stop and get some food in Windom, but the Happy Chef must have seen our two busses coming and when we got there, they said they were clos- ing. So we had to go without something to eat. We got home early Saturday morning. The Glass of '73 would like to thank all our chaparones and bus drivers for help- ing us have a wonderful and enjoyable time on our skip day. Thank you. 3 5 Q Sz ,J S E 3 5 i. With a little more luck, I feelwe could have won four more games. Defeating Ivanhoe and Hendricksfor the Sub District 9 BasketballChampionshipwas our major highlight of the season. we had no starters over 6' tall, yet we were the leading rebounders in l? of the 21 games played. I feel this shows the desire and work that some of our players put forth throughout the entire year. I foundit a pleasure working with such a fine group of athletes and gentlemen.
