Frat- zke carried the ball 77 times for 381 yards and a 11.9 yard average. Re- werts ran 75 times for 308 yards and a 11.1 average. Fratzke also caught ll passes for 232 yards and scored 98 points on 111 touchdomms, 6 two- point conversions, and a safety. He led the team with 152 tackles. Lowell Jaeger completed 68 of 128 passes for 923 yards and ll touch- downs. Jeff Dahl caught 2h passes for 221 yards and 7 TDS, and inter- cepted 7 passes, returning two for scores. Jim Schwerin grabbed 16 passes for 236 yards and three touch- downs. The team outscored their opponents 2h8 to 611. During one streak the Raiders gave up just one touchdown in four games. They sang a number of Christmas Carols. The Junior Chorus, Girls' Chorus, and Senior Chorus performed at the annual Christmas Program. During the year the chorus wasthe scene of a lot of excitement. The Chorus Room also resembled an airport. On April 18 the Senior Chorus and Girls' Chorus attended the music contests at Tracy. The band put on an excellent performance at the homecoming game. On December 13, 1969, both the high school band and the cadet band participated in the Cottonwood High School Annual Christmas Program. All winter the pep band entertained at basketball games. On April 17, 1970, the Cottonwood High School band performed at the Spring Instrumental Concert for the general public. The pitching staff was quite effective despite M losses. They suffered lack of support in several games. Kevin Devereaux had a 2-l record, Lowell Jaeger l-O, Gary Lee l-l, and Jeff Dahl l-2. Lee's loss was to Bird Island 2-l and Dahl lost to Wood Lake l-O. In both games the team only had l hit. The team had better days, though. They collected 17 runs against Milroy and beat Marshall 3-O. They had planned to spend the ev- ening there. The seniors visited Como Park and then the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. Following their noon meal they were free to shop in downtown Min- neapolis.
