Senior Class Prophecy Just as the juniors settled their heads on their desks for their mid-morning nap in Mr. Nixon's geometry class, a dream began to form: Mrs. McMennamy walked in with the morning school paper dated May 15, 1984. The first item was: CLASS OF 1960 HAS REUNION The senior class of 1960 had its first class reunion at the Cotton Center School Saturday, May 13, 1984, at 7 P. M. Those present were the following: Mrs. Gene Scarbrough, formerly Kay Heath, who is now doing the Tolgate Kissing Commercials on television. She had to get a job to pay for her ten children's contact lenses. Sylvia Poovey, a distinguished visitor from New York, who recently had to give up her title as Mrs. America because she failed to meet one of the requirements - she had no husband! lean Williams, famous cross-county hot-rodder, who is still attempting to ac- complish her life-long ambition, which is to make a ninety degree turn at ninety- five miles per hour. Mrs. Kenneth Ashby, the former Sue Stewart, who after being so successful in getting herself a husband, now runs the Cotton Center Date Bureau. Heilda Barrett, who recently, dissatisfied with the Ashbys' match-making, submit- ted her name to Univac. Not satisfied with her mate, she has returned home with her half of the twenty thousand dollars they won on People Are Loony. Cotton Center's own Donnie Thrash, Don Turner in private life, is now giving guitar lessons to Presley, Fabian, Chet Atkins, and other famous celebrities. Mrs. Eleanor S. Griffin, former sponsor of the class, was also present at the re- union. However, her stay was cut short, due to the fact that she had to pack her lit- tle black Plymouth, with the newly installed 400 cu. in. blown Chrysler engine, Afor a senior trip the next morning at four. We are sure that they will break all speed limits in getting to Colorado. Jimmy Terry was turned down by the Marines and now owns a very exclusive beauty shop, Teri's Beauty Salon. His wife, Sue, has the best groomed hair at the Thursday Evening Bridge Club. Jimmy baby-sits with his five lovely daughters while Sue plays bridge. The next item began: FORMER SUPT. MORING HAS ULCERS Mr. T. D. Moring, former Supt. of schools at Cotton Center has retired from Presi- dent of Teen Age Girls' College, with a severe case of ulcers - - - Bang! Mr. Nixon beat his yardstick on the desk and the juniors at once came back to geometry - never knowing, for sure, what happened to Mt. Moring and maybe some of the others at dear old Cotton Center.
