UNION SCHOOL The Senior Class of Union Local School feel they have accomplished much in their grade and high school days through hard work and co-operation. In our Freshman Year of School, we had forty-five students in our class. Now we have thirty-six, twenty-one of which have attended Union for twelve years, eleven who have attended through high school and four who have entered after the ninth grade. In order to raise money for funds and the Senior Class Trip, the class made and sold Christmas cen- terpieces, sold novelties, Christmas cards, maga- zines, supplies, candy and Stanley products, and have sponsored skating parties, dances and socials. We are proud of the boys in our class who have played on the baseball and basketball teams. Seven of the Senior boys were on the basketball team, five were on the baseball team and four of the Senior girls were the varsity cheerleaders. During the Junior Year we presented “Hillbilly WeddinY a comedy which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. The class also gave a Junior-Senior Prom with the theme “South Seas” in honor of the Senior Class of 1958. Our class colors are black and white. The flower is the red rose. “Nothing Is Gained Without Work” was chosen as the Senior Class Motto. Our class looks back with many memories of good times; never forgetting our years together. But also we look forward to the trip to Washington and New York City, and further beyond toward rich and full lives. Executive Head WAYNE T. MATTHEWS—Executive Head. Ohio State Univer- sity, M.A. Ohio University, A.B. Major: English. Minors: History, Mathematics, Music. 24
