UNION SCHOOL Class Prophecy The other day I received in the mail an invita- tion. It read: “You are cordially invited to a small private party to be held in Madison Square Garden on April 17, 1970. Signed. FAITH VORYS,” who is now a famous socialite. Among the first to arrive was the 42nd Presi- dent of the United States, ROBERT UNDER- WOOD, Secretary of the Army, ELMER WRIGHT (who graduated first in his class at West Point), and the President’s personal golf caddy, TOM FOWLER. Next we met JEAN MASON who has been practicing for months for her special concert for the 42nd President of the United States. Also attending was the proprietress of the big- gest department store in New Castle, MARIANNE FELVER, accompanied by one of her models, MARYLIN McCOY. ATTIEMAE HACKNEY is now the owner of the New York Slcnderella Salon. Attending from California was JERRY THORNSLEY, the second Elvis Presley, the first one having shaken himself to death. GAYLE DICKINSON, the star of the television show, “Private Secretary,” and JANICE MIZER and JUDY CRIDER, who own a photography studio for the movie stars, were also present. From New York was the editor of “Popular Mechanics Magazine,” BILL RICHARDS. MAR- GARET SIBERT is now a famous Broadway actress. SANDRA BUSHEE is a clothes buyer for Macy’s. CHARLES ROLLINS was able to attend because the Globetrotters were in town. The prosperous owners of the Standard Oil Com- pany, ROBERT WELLING and HAROLD BILLMAN, seemed to be enjoying the champagne immensely. JEAN SPECKMAN informed us that she had 10 boys and 5 girls to help her and Carl run the farm. NAOMI ASHCRAFT is the president of the Union P.T.O. Dear old Union! DONNA ASHCRAFT was unable to attend because she was up in Sputnik No. 15. The life of the party was CHARLES UNDER- WOOD, the minister of the Murder Ridge Chris- tian Church. JACK SHEPHERD, the owner of an orange grove in Florida, passed out free oranges to ev- eryone. Representatives of the educational field were: BOB RICHARD. Professor of Math at Ohio State University; ELLEN GUTHRIE, Principal of Union Elementary School; and CAROLYN AN- DERSON, the head of an exclusive boys’ school. MR. FUNK was touring the world for his health. He had a nervous breakdown during the year 1957-58 and never fully recovered. The small party was a huge success and an- other one is being planned in ten years. 24
