I . , 4 In 7 ,' ,ff 41 fj CORYDON CLASS HISTORY The Class Hxstory of the Corydon Seniors of 1948 began one brxght September Day in the Fall of 1936 A proud group of llttle First Graders started up the steps that morning ready to go to work I am sure that Miss Katye Veatch found it difficult to teach us because we were very bashful However, we soon overcame that and were ready to clirnb the stairs to the Seventh Grade R D Griggs from Morganfield jomed us m the Seventh Grade Our class grew larger 1n February when D1x1e was transferred to finlsh school wlth us One month later Mablellne Groves moved from Poole to Corydon and became one of us We received our Elghth Grade Dlplomas ln the Spring of 1944 In the followmg Fall twenty six of us adopted the stugma of being Green Freshmen We finished our freshman year triumphantly During our sopho ever we gained two others Lois Brzdwell from Morga.nf1eld and Melba Sarnples from Weaverton Lois Brzdwell left us durmg our jumor year and we welcomed two new students Dorxs Hays from Princeton and Lois Culver from Spottsville Near the begmnmg of our school year of 1946 our nelghbormg school Smith Mills was destroyed by f1re We welcomed twelve of these schoolless students mto our class Also Lois Brldwell carne back to us m our jumor year We started our semor year wxth two new classmates They were Donald Cllnes from Unlontown but he left us at mld term, and jarnes Holt , . p - , , . . 9 il more year we were very unfortunate in that we lost Billy joe Frisby.
