The Hornet's defense held the Redskins to only 2 total yards and a negative 25 yards on the ground. Dave Conaway and Jeff Huffman led the way in scoringlas they each had 2 touchdowns. The Hornets held a 7-0 half time lead but the Pirates came back and scored 7 in the 3rd quarter. From that point the 2 teams battled to a draw and the game ended in a tie.
