Our freshman year, 1964 found a group of 70 green freshies entering the hal- lowed halls of C-R. We progressed rapidly under the guidance of our teachers and especially our class sponsors, Mrs. Reeder Mr. Jenkins, and Mrs. Zimmerman. Through their influence, we soon found that we didn ' t know quite as much as we thought we did. We chose our officers to guide us through our first year. They were : President, Dale Biery; Vice President, Mike Von Stein; Secretary, Alan Holdren; and Treasur- er, Judy Powell. During the year we were unfortunate to lose Kenny Curtis, Vickie Griggs, Jerry Oswald, Ronnie Oswald, Tim Ridge, Bob Ritchey, and Judy Shepard. We gained Rose Ann Stults. Gaining in confidence, but losing the glitter and excitement of our first year, we plodded on as sophomores, falling into the ruts of high school life. We also enjoyed choosing our class rings and attending class meetings and parties with our sponsors, Miss Belleville, Mrs. Smith, and Mr. Sprunger. Our officers were : President, Mike Anderson; Vice President, Mike Von Stein; Secretary, Judy Powell; and Treasurer, Linda Inbody. Gained during the year were Juanita Benton, Jon Clark, Linda Harris, and Stacy Van Horn. Lost were Jon Clark, Alan Elsea, Roger Merchant, Mark Meyer, Juanita Benton, and Bob Victory. Before long the summer had drawn to a close and we were juniors. As juniors, we found the responsibilities of being upperclassmen mounting. One of the highlights of the year was the receiving of our class rings. Our dramatic ability was displayed by the presentation of our class play, Butter on the Bacon, under the direction of Mr. Berry. Due to much hard work and co-operation of all, it was one of the crowning achievements of our year. Officers elected for the year were: President, Jim Dukes; Vice President, Mike Von Stein; Secretary, Janice Hartman; and Treasurer, Kathy Freed. Our sponsors. Mr. Deeds, Mr. Sprunger, and Mr. Rossman, probably suffered from a few headaches while helping us plan the annual Junior-Senior Prom. It was held in the high school gymnasium with the theme, Midnight Under the Sea. During the year we gained Dick Amstutz, Paul Duffy, and Alice Hauenstein but lost Skip Babcock, Dan Saltz, Keith Cook, and Alice Hauenstein. At last we are seniors. We have been looking forward to this time since we were freshmen. Now we are the ones setting the examples and being looked up to by the underclassmen. The responsibilities which have slowly mounted are at a peak. The officers for our final year together are : President, Kevin Welch ; Vice Presi- dent, Donn Kramer; Secretary, Richard Meyer; and Treasurer, Mike Von Stein. Big events of the year were the selection of our class colors, motto, and flower, and the memorable Junior-Senior Prom. We welcomed to our class again, Skip Babcock. The members of the Senior Class wish to thank our sponsors, Mrs. Wilson and Mr. Clevidence, who have helped to guide us in this last year, towards a graduation that will be followed by successful and meaningful lives. POWERLESSNESS OF ATTORNEY Mike Anderson WITNESSED BY Mr. Clevidence Mr. Derrickson FRANK BAKER BREAD COMPANY Lima, Ohio :!1 Class Prophecy It was 1977 and I, Pam Allen, had been invited to visit some outstanding person- alities. My hostess was the celebrated columnist Billie Leeper Dukes. She and her il- lustrious husband, Jim, manage a national magazine. We first attempted to visit the eccentric tycoon Dale Biery. We received stiff op- position from Larry Wolford, his stalwart business manager, but Marcia Boutwell, his private, private secretary who types 150 words a minute, came to our aid. 1 hen we were informed by his wife, the former Linda Inbody, that he was in consultation with Professor Alan Holdren, B.A., B.S., Ph.D., the renowned nuclear physicist, and could not be disturbed However, she graciously consented to show us the experiments which he was financing. We found Steve Oman, Kevin Welch, and Don Huston developing a new tvpe of corn which would require absolutely no care and harvest itself. Tom Elsea, Phil fraucht and Darryl Gallant were testing a new device to do away with eccentric tvcoons like Dale. We also saw Bill Shackelford trying to gain support for his cam- paign to legalize drag-racing on public highways. He was receiving considerable back- ing from that New Stark gang, Tom Baier, Aaron Hicks, and particularly Jerry Pore, who is donating funds from his string of discoteques. As we left we commented on the fine modern offices and learned they had been built by Larry Kempf Enterprises. ' We crossed the Hudson River to New York on the huge bridge designed by Don McFadden There were still a few kinks, however, since it kept collapsing. We then ate at an exclusive restaurant owned by Rose Ann Stults and Mar.jorie Badertscher. We vis- ited a dress shop operated by Karen Boehm and Kay Russell, and viewed the stylish fashion designs by Jan Deeds. They were shown by Pat Kimmel and -Jane Diller, the top models of ' 77. Billie pointed out a magazine article on starlet Kathy Freed the Ann-Margaret of the 70V We noticed the picture had been taken by international playboy Bruce Bonhard, who specializes in taking photos of beautiful girls. After leaving the shop, we noticed Paul Duffey ' s campaign posters. Paul is trying to declare all laws unconstitutional. Skip Babcock, his able opponent, is trying to de- clare Paul unconstitutional. Ron Fenstermaker ' s minority party is presently engaged in trying to imneach our beloved President, Dick Meyer. We then viewed the accomplishments in the sports woi Id We were lvcky enough to see the pro football game and watch Mike Von Stem dazzle the fans with his 99-yard TD run As Janice Hartman was cheering him, she accidently upset Coach Dave Brew- ster with one of her cartwheels. Dave ' s home was once the hang-out of pro basketball player Dick Pearson until Dave ' s wife, the former Mary Alice Sheidler, kept drafting him to exercise her horses, which she owns with the noted equestrian and philanthro- pist Judy Powell. In other sports news, Stacy Van Horn has rst completed swimming the English Channel for the third time this week. Chris Dukes has just set a new world ' s record in sports car racing by being the first person to go three hundred miles an hour— in reverse. He contributes much of his success to Wayne Crist, his back- ward mechanic. We ietted to the West Coast on Mike Anderson ' s revolutionary new airline where all the stewardesses— Linda Benjamin, Judy Honse, and Sara Redd— wear mini-skirts. Two other passengers were Susan Redick, who teaches a progressive kindergarten, and Donna Peterson, who teaches French at Berkeley. She said that Dick Amstutz now handles all student demonstrations on campus, much to the distress of Donn Kramer its dean We also chatted briefly with Phyllis Traucht, who was returning home to rest from her world-wide opera tour. The pilot complained about her practicing on tne plane, but we didn ' t mind it. We had barely arrived when we saw Bev and Barb Young, who told us they were on a tour to promote the look-alike clothes created by Elva Businger and Randy Ward, the new h-sband and wife smging sensation. On the way to the office we passed Debbie Redd ' s new health resort for Hollywood stars Charlene Cookson, the resort ' s physician, informed us that the latest malady among the stars is glomerulonephritis. Not wishing to catch this unusual disease, we hastily took our leave. With this we concluded our interviews with the outstanding personalities of 1977.
