NANCY ZENT V Class History The time, September, 1960; the place, Cory-Rawson High School, the mission, enter classes. Sixty-six freshmen made their way from the busses to the entrance, taking the first of many steps into the hallowed hall of C-R. During our Freshman year we progressed rapidly under the guidance of our teachers and especially our class sponsors, Mrs. Zimmerman, Mrs. Reeder, and Mr. Jenkins. We chose our officers to guide us through our first year. They were: President, Dennis Powell, Vice Pres. Steve Beach, Secretary, Jim Searfoss, and Treasurer, Janie Moser. During the year we were happy to gain Mary Coburn, Peggy Schroyer, and Mary Shaw. We lost Cynthia Hoch and Mary Shaw. Losing the excitement of our freshman year, we plodded on as Sophomores, falling into the ruts of high school life. Our sponsors Mrs. Tippett, Mr. Lee, and Mr. Marshall exercised much patience as well as putting a desire in us to carry out our duties as members of the student body. Our officers were: President, Larry Wilson, Vice President Bob Parker, Secre tary Rebecca Schmehl, and Treasurer Sharon Smith. This year we gained Elaine Daugherty, Sandra Rizor, and Christine Ward and lost Mary Coburn, Diana Moser, Peggy Schroyer, Kate Taylor, and Paul Bowman. As Juniors we found the going getting rougher. One of the main highlights of the year was receiving our class rings. Our dramatic ability was displayed by the presentation of our class play, Rest Assured under the direction of Mr. Berr y. Officers elected for the year were, President Bob Parker; Vice President, Steve Bach; Secretary, Jean Edinger; Treasurer, Anita Rttig; and Trip Treasurer, Nancy Knepper. Our sponsors Mr. Deeds, Mr. Cook, and Mr. Thomas got many new gray hairs helping us plan our prom, Moon River. During the year we lost Carmen Canales, Don Duffman, and Sharon Smith. At last we are seniors and under the able guidance of Mr. Clevidence and Mr. Berry it will be the best year of our school life. Senior officers are President, Steve Beach; Vice Presi- dent, Dennis Powell; Secretary, Linda Harter; and Treasurer, Jeanie Moser. Again under the supervision of Mr. Berry the seniors presented Aunt Samanthy Rules The Roost. The activities of Commencement will be the highlights of our Senior year. We are look- ing forward to ending the year with our Senior Trip to New York and the World ' s Fair. This will be the last time the class of 1964 will be together as a group. Main Findlay, Ohio -27 Senior Class Prophecy It is now 1974, and Steve Beach is president of the WHO ' S WHO CLUB of AMERI- CA. As reporter of the club, I, Linda Harris was assigned to find out who ' s who of the class of 1964. Starting off on my trip through the country to find former classmates, I first went to the office of Dr. Ed Habegger, who is taking over the place of Dr. Ben Casey. Here I found Barbara Huss, working as secretary to Becky Schmehl, who is replacing Dr. Zorba. Also in this building were veterinarian, Vicki Shindeldecker, with her assistant Karen Hamilton, op- erating on three white mice. I next attended the national wrestling championship match with Fabian Canales and Paul Eckert vs. Wayne Wineland and Allen Cramer. In the other ring were the national women wrestlers. They were Carolyn Traucht and Nancy Zent vs. Barbara Boutwell and Sandra Rizor. Refereeing these matches were Fred Freeh and Elaine Dougherty. Bob John- son was also there busily selling popcorn and peanuts throughout the large crowd. Linda Harter and James Searfoss are now married and running a chain of Smith Hard- wares across the country from coast to coast. As passing one of the hardwares I saw the new 1974 National Homemaker, Nancy Knepper and Sandy Wolf buying gifts for their husbands. Walking on down the street I noticed a sign saying JOE ' S PLACE. As I walked in I saw the proprietor, Joe Bowers, seated watching the entertainment for the evening. Very much to my surprise out came the Can-Can Dancers. They were Jeanie Edinger, Barbara Withrow, Jeanie Moser, Lou Ellen Dukes, Judy Marquart, and Anita Rettig. Some other former classmates were also found working there. Bartender, Albert Ream, was talking to the newly-weds Terry Shepler and Phyllis Warren. Karen Welch, the petite hostess , was selling cigarettes to Larry Wilson, Roger Badertscher, and Kenny Thomas. As I left Joe ' s Place and walked on down the street I met Chris Ward and Carol Wat- kins, who have been made famous through their experiences in hair bleaching. They inform- ed me that Carolyn Kidd, Sandra Schifferely, Suetta Dilts, and Carolyn Frommer were running a home for bachelors on 5th Avenue. Roger Peterson and Richard Klingler are two of the most prominent bachelors in the home. Going on to the Jenera Technical College I found the chemists Howard Wilch, Bob Parker, and Dennis Powell trying to invent a new way to make a Limburger cheese that doesn ' t stink. They said that they had chosen three officials to test the delicate smelling process for their experiment. These smellers are none other than, Allan Ferrenberg, David Ernest, and Roger Eck. In another laboratory in the college I found Karen Crew and Mar- cene Falk trying to create a formula to cure sleep-walking. Being the test subjects are Bob Frantz and Eddie Camper. I traveled on through the country to Kansas to find a snipe ranch run by Dennis Dor- man and Jim Heldman. Bob Rossman has been chosen the best snipe hunter of 1974. While I was talking to these ranchers they showed me a newspaper with the headlines A NEW MR. AMERICA HAS BEEN CHOSEN. We were all happy to find that the title was won by one of Cory-Rawson s alumni— Larry Lehman. After I returned to Washington D.C. to report the findings to the main office, the club decided that this sort of report for the club would be carried on every year about the class of 1964, from Cory-Rawson.
