BOARD OF EDUCATION STANDING, left to right: Bob Gute, Don Olmstead, Arlo Butcher, Bruce Conklin. SEATED, left to right: Ralph Chapin, Ken Hayes, Bob Volek. RAY DENNIS Superintendent Every period in history has had its own unique stresses and strains, and yours is no exception. As you are confronted with constant change in our society and its associated complexities, it would be my honest contention that the generation you repre- sent will rise to the occasion. My confidence in the Corunna High School Class of 1972, as well sis others across this great nation of ours, leads me to maintain high hope for the future of our country and the world. One has to be impressed with the potential of your aims and ideals. It would be my judgment that, if your concerns are pursued within a framework of respect for the basic tenets of our democracy, you will indeed make your presence known for a better world. On behalf of the Board of Education and the total school staff, may I wish you the fullest measure of happiness and a personal sense of justification for life. You may rest assured that your school maintains a vital interest in you and wishes to continue to serve you in any way possible. Best personal regards, Ray Dennis, Superintendent

RICHARD J. CLARK Assistant Superintendent I would like to extend my sincere congratulations to each member of the class of 1972 for the achievements you have accumulated in your quest for a High School education. You have achieved that goal but there are many challenges ahead which will tax your energies and your spirit to become a useful citizen in today's rapidly changing society. May you meet these challenges suc- cessfully and continually strive to make your world a better place in which to live. The problems facing our society today must be solved and you must involve yourself in reaching their solution. If you do not do this, you will become a part of these problems rather than a means to their solution. So, I would like to wish all of you the best of success in the future. Keep your goals set high and be prepared to meet your commitments for a better world. Richard J. Clark Assistant Superintendent Here today, gone tomorrow. The past is forever gone, but the future is still your own. 1 sincerely hope that even though Corunna High School has been your today and tomorrow, it will be your past, it has in some little way assisted you in preparing yourself to meet the challenges of your future. Duane L. Ash Principal DUANE L. ASH Principal My advice to a graduating senior would be to keep in mind that it is impor- tant for each of you to remain the master of yourself as God intended. The clay gods of this world are very demanding. Whether they be inordinate power, glory, money, pleasure or lust, they require a complete and continuing allegiance. Retain at all times a correct standard of sound values. Keep aware of your own eternal worth, and you will show a reverence for yourself and every- one else.
