Ac minis t.raiion an f Jacufti y PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE A better world in which to live is a sincere desire of almost every American citizen. The primary tool to assist all Americans with this goal is educa- tion. It is hoped that you have taken advantage of the education that has been placed before you. Before you can better the world you must first better yourself. Again, the key is education. Don’t stop with the knowledge you have received thus far. Continue to work and to achieve in order to enrich yourself. If each and every one of you will do this, then you will be doing your part in fulfilling your class motto of To better the world by first bettering ourselves.” DUANE L. ASH Principal B.S. Eastern Mich. U. M.A. Mich. State U. NICHOLAS ANNESE B.S. W. Va. Tech. M.A. Central Mich. U. Assistant Principal Athletic Director 5

SUPERINTENDENT'S MESSAGE You are to be commended for attaining a most significant step in the pursuit of your purpose in life. Your school has endeavored to encourage and assist you in attaining these goals. Your parents and your church have played vital roles in your accomplishments to date. While I would strongly urge you to pursue your quest for relevance in our society, it would be my hope and conviction that this worthwhile objective would not be lost in a syndrome of purposeless rebellion. May I wish you every success, and urge you to re- tain your association with your school and your com- munity. R. E. DENNIS Superintendent A.B. Eastern Mich. U. M.A. U. of Michigan 4
