R G lA l CJImXxJajCMI Being a member of the school board is an honor and a responsi- bility. The policies of the Corunna Public Schools are adopted by this group after thoughtful consideration. The completion of the aggenda set up by Supt. Dennis and the schoolboard itself covering the business of running the schools ef- ficiently and for the best interests of the community, takes many hours of work at the monthly meetings, the second Thursday of each month. As you graduates become tax-paying citizens of any community, may you accept your share of the responsibility for promoting bet- ter education. Left to right; Trustee Ralph Chapin, Secretary Harold Wallace, Vice President Arlo Butcher, President Kenneth Hayes, Treasurer Robert Rhoads. Trustee Russell Olmstead, Trustee Ervin Wing As I have said to you before, the processes of education never cease. The attainment of your High School Diploma is, indeed, a goal achieved, but new goals approach which require further education whether on a college campus or on the business field. Use your background from Corunna High School to build upon and to help you accept the responsibilities the world holds for you. Ray E. Dennis

Let us all hope that all graduates, not only from Corunna High but across the nation, will assume the big responsibility that is theirs. It is not only a re- sponsibility, but an obligation for every individual to fulfill his role as a good citizen in a free society. This will involve hard work, charitable habits, coop- erative attitudes, and the sincere desire to improve relationships among all mankind. We hope that Corunna High School and the Cavalier tradition have helped you to meet this challenge. Charles Alexander, Principal B.S.-Central Michigan U. M.A.-Michigan State U. May all of you, as Seniors, be especially aware that as you complete your education at Corunna High School, the task of preparing yourselves for your place in society has not terminated. In this world of vastly increasing population, of technological advances, and of increasing pressures in the performance of the daily tasks, it is necessary to realize that a great deal of hard work lies ahead. It is essential, as well, that you be willing to accept this challenge with vigor and determination.
