Board of Education Left to right; Trustee Ralph Chapin, Secretary Harold Wallace, Vice President Arlo Butcher, President Kenneth Hayes, Treasurer Robert Rhoads, Trustee Russell Olmstead, Trustee Ervin Wing W Administration During the years of your formal education, your school, home, and church have made every effort to assist you in moving toward your chosen goals in life. That these goals have been well chosen is imperative as you assume the responsibility of shaping your own destiny and the future of the world. Encompassed within the score of these goals must be a spiritual and moral awareness that lends real purpose to life. Complete ob- jectivity and tolerance in your thoughts, words, and deeds must prevail as well as an in- creasing interest and participation in all educational processes of our great democracy. Ray Dennis, Superintendent Congratulations on your accomplishments so far! The school and community will now be anxiously watching you on your next big assignment. That is--continuing your education or assuming your role as a good citizen in some community. Either of these will pose a big challenge to you. Your past four years will play a big factor on how well you meet this challenge in the future. Charles D. Alexander, Principal In preparing for the future, one must be ever aware of the implications the future holds for all of us. The experiences which all of you have accumlated during your formal education in past years will now be brought into focus to help you meet your future needs. Above all, be good citizens and meet the future with confidence and awareness. Richard Clark, Assistant Principal John Jankeje Ph.B U. of Detroit English Inez Ross, A.B. Michigan State U. Honor Students Valedictorian Your four years of high school are among the most important years of your life. Whether you choose more education, marriage, or a business career is not the primary concern, but that you make your choice and work the very best you can at it is of the most importance. Do not wait until your Senior year to make your choice, but start immediately in planning for the future, for this is the most important choice of your life and can not be made in haste. Kathy Wallace Salutatoria n Education is the most important tiling in our lives. It leads the way to a better and deeper understanding not only of one's self but the world around us. Through its effects we can live happier and richer lives. Some people who have had the opportunity to get an education did not use it and therefore have been jipped in this thing we call life, so I urge you to take full advantage of your school days and be ready to take your place in so- ciety.
