We were given a cordial welcome with an initiation arranged by the Sopho- mores. We rounded out the year with a Co-Ed Dance. The Sophomore Carnival made its debut as our first semester project. The high- light of the carnival was the dunking of our class sponsors, Mr. Andersen and Mr. Wightman. Our other project was a dance featuring the newly-formed Corunna Dance Band. The choice of class rings highlighted our Junior year. With the vision of our Senior Trip before us, we earned money by selling magazine subscriptions and by sponsoring a disc jockey dance. Our Junior play was Desperate Ambrose . In addition, we had the pleasure of honoring the Seniors by a Junior-Senior banquet. To start our Senior year, we selected the American Beauty Rose as our class flower; blue and silver as our class colors; We build the ladder on which we rise as our class motto. Class money-making projects included candy sales, Christmas card sales, dances after all home games, car washes, the concession stand, our play Off the Track . Rose Room , our prom, was the high spot for the spring social season. Our six-day trip to New York City and Washington climaxed the year, but we anticipate a greater thrill when the diplomas are distributed June 5.
