Leading the band are: Glen Ormiston, freshman, Jay Davies, senior, Lenny Rogers, freshman. E, ER. Cortez has seen 26 years of different students and staff. Along with these years have come themes, songs, and mot- tos. Dur fight song, our motto - Togeether, our Alma Mater, and our nnany themes. Themes from homecoming, school spirit, and yearbook, - Dalncing through the decades , We've Got A New Attitude, and Better Than Ever! We've Got A New Attitude!, is what you'll hear the Colt Spiritline cheering. This is the first year for the spiritline, and the girls wanted to show Cortez that even with the end of pom and cheer our new spiritline has takeln on a new attitude and they're better than ever! In the past 26 years, Cortez has gone through many changes. Every year has brought more to Cortez, and when Cortez's activities ex- pandled to its ultimate - we im- proved everything. Everything from buildings, staff, sports, clubs, academics, and Students. We feel our theme fits us perfect, because we are Better Than: Ever! THEME - BETTER THAN EVER 5

Strutting campus was too cool as shown by Shawn Craig, Bobby States, freshman, and AI Page, senior. Cortez Yearbook Staffers went to camp during the sum- mer to make our yearbook Better Than Ever.
