HO EC MING N GH T00 EXCITI G! Homecoming night was an event that just could not be overlooked. Student council, campus clubs, faculty, and students prepared all week for the excitement. Judging for the floats and banners began at 5:30. Then the participants left for home awaiting the big night and the announcement of the winning float, ban- ner, and royalty. Kickoff started at 7:30 with the Colts hosting the Washington Rams. During this time the senior class was preparing the gym for the big dance. At Half time the floats rolled around the track, with the winning float leading. The Senior class tof '86j waited four years to take first. Their mini-theme was the Roaring 20's in contrast to Dancing Through the Decades. With a big sha-bang Speech club brought out their winning banner, displaying each decade with musical notes and lyrics. Then the most exciting part of the evening started - The Royalty. Nominated by the Senior Class and chgsen by the whole student body were King and Queen, Joseph Gaynor and Angel Stahler. And to top the night off with success, our Colt football team defeated the Rams in a 17-10 Victory! 18 HOMECOMING DAY 81 NIGHT The Junior class presented their float with lots of balloons, as shown by Chris Riddle and Liz Cook. Kim Smith, junior expresses her spirit -the look on her face told us it was Great! 44' 21 The Roaring 20's as part of the act on the Senior class float, Scott Mataswas the bartender, Jason the Rootbeer chugger, and Laura Lewitz was just having fun.
