HUMECGMI SPIRIT SHINES THROUGH V r- Q if JL.. M' 16 HOMECOMING WEEK AND SPIRIT G!! ancing through the Decades was the theme for Homecoming 1985. Spirit week set the mood for Fri- day's game. From dressing up to finding out who was King and Queen - the week was filled with fun and festivities. f Starting off the week: Monday was Western day. Tuesday was 50's day when we were all reminded of the past episodes of Happy Days. Wednesday was 60's day where the Brady Bunch was brought back to life. Thursday was Hawaiian day, everyone all of a sudden became tourists and dressed Beachy and then went to a Luau! Friday was SPIRIT day and all the students dressed up in School Colors. And to add to the mood, the school was decorated with balloons and streamers, and writing on the sidewalks. All in all, spirit week was a success. The game was won, the Colts spirit was high, and the Alumni enjoyed returning to find that our school spirit was even better. C.H. S. is looking pretty Hot! I haven't had that much fun in a long time. said Kris Ken- nedy, 1984 Homecoming Queen. Spirited students dress up as cowboys on Western dayg Joe Proferri, Rex Evans, Craig Dougherty, Lance McConkey, Mike Richardson, and Ed Meza. Jeff DiMaria, Junior, sells spirit balloons at the Homecoming game. Happy Seniors show their delight for their winning float. li ff, FV X, 'Q MOVIN' EW EXPERIENCES As their freshman year started off many had no idea what the year would bring. There were only a handful that still came from grade schools - those few had to learn how to adjust to high school life. While most of the freshmen came from Jr. Highs. To most freshmen Jr. High was just a small prep of what high school was real- ly about. Classes were Looking straight into the camera's eye has always been a freshman trait as shown by: Mike Cornwell, Matt Burklow, and Eddie Grant. This spirited freshman assembly was held in our auditorium. harder, rules were stricter, but most of all they were longer than Jr. High classes. A new advantage to freshman this year was that there were more clubs to join and more fun to have at school events. FROSH LIFE 15
