SOPHO ORES ARE DEFINITELY BETTER THAN EVER! o many, Sophomore year was the true beginning of their High School years. lt was the feeling of becoming well adjusted to CORTEZ and an even better chance to become involved with school activities. That and meeting more friends made Sophomores such as these have an even more enjoyable year than their first. This year was better because you knew more people and you finally got to rule over the freshmen. - Scott Siegrest Sophomore year was better because you were used to everything and didn't feel like such an outcast anymore. - John Serna Sophomore year you could really be yourself and not worry about being thought of as the ultimate freshman. - Jennifer Roberts It seems like sophomores this year felt more at home with CORTEZ. Those trying out for sports found the possibility of being able to play on a Varsity team, while during freshman year that was almost impossi- ble. Other sophomores choose to sit back and make the best of their eleventh year in school. 12 SOPHOMORE LIFE 1 ef'-gT'iLg5...4v As in every day, paying for a cafeteria lunch was part of life as shown by Young and Mike Hart, sophomores.
