No request was too small or insignificant for him to consider. He also demanded that all work be done with nothing less than maximum effort from all hands. The crew more than met his demands in keeping up with the hectic tempo of operations during this cruise. In return, he ensured that the rest and relaxation periods were maximized. On the light side, one could always get what he wanted from the XO by simply plying him with gallons upon gallons of ice cream or jello - sometimes using both in getting him to grant the more difficult requests! FRANK M. HUNT, JR. Lieutenant Commander Frank M. Hunt, Jr f with a B.S. Degree in Marine Engineerir United States Naval Academy, Class of '6U. tour of duty was on board the USS DEWEY QDLG-145 as Assistant MPA, Assistant Fire Control Officer and Anti-Submarine Warfare Officer. After completing Submarine School and Nuclear Powe. Training, he reported to the Blue Crew of the USE JOHN MARSHALL QSSBN-6115 and served L ,upply Officer and Damage Control Assistant. Lieutenant Com- mander Huntls next tour of duty was as the Main Propulsion Assistant on the commissioning crew of the USS LEWIS AND CLARK QSSBN-6445. Lieutenant Commander Hunt returned to the surface ships and reported to the USS EVERETT F. LARSON QDD-8305 and served as Engineering Officer and later as Operations Officer. His next tour of duty was Electronics Warfare Officer on the Staff, Commander Cruiser Destroyer Flotilla Three which was performing the duties as Commander Cruise-Destroyer Group, U.S. Seventh Fleet..Before reporting to CORRY as Executive Officer, Lieutenant Commander Hunt attended the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California where he received a Masterls Degree in Oceanography. Lieutenant Commander Hunt is a bachelor and resides on board. :J I -.i
