I Turning to the future Wondering which way to go. I'll never forget all those memories And my friends that I’ll miss so. You'll see, that whether my future plans include work for me, Or to reach higher education goals. I'll take what is offered to me. And play and complete the highest given role. The new people I'll meet and friends I'll make. Will make my life complete and full. But, It’s time to turn to the future and look what there is for me For when I come back to this town to see my family and friends, I'll know that this was just the beginning of my future. That for me will never end. For All That You Have Given Us For Everything You Do For All The Times You’ve Understood We Dedicate Our Book To You. Teaching Is A Difficult Task That's Often Done In Haste But What We've Learned From Your Patience We Know Will Not Go To Waste. In This World We Sometimes Forget Those Who Give Us So Much We’d Like To Thank You For All You’ve Done Because It’s Done With A Special Touch. C.N. 4 TAMMY RATH We never appreciate the ones we love till they’re not around any longer. And we feel so helpless left alone, each day drags on a little longer. The memories shared make her absence a little less harder to bear, But we still wish we had the chance to say once more, “We care”. We remember the smiles and laughter as well as we remember the pain. But we also have to realize, our loss is also her gain. The promise that will sustain us is that we will meet again, To be once more united, together again as friends. C.C. 1964-1982 MR. LOUIS (LOU) HANNA Service to Corry High School 1948-1978. The passing of Lou Hanna marked the end of an era in the history of Corry High School. Coach Hanna became widely known by bringing area and statewide recognition to the football program at Corry. As a coach he had few equals. He still holds the record for most consecutive wins with 22. Mr. Hanna's effect on the young people he coached went beyond his record on the gridiron. He inspired them to reach for goals beyond their grasp-to achieve excellence in mind, body, and spirit. This community and school lost a truly great and dedicated man. 5 1917-1983 Presenting THE CIHSS ( AW Of 1983 7 CORRY AREA HIGH SCHOOL CORRY PENNSYLVANIA THIS CERTIFIES THAT THE CLASS OF 1983 HAS COMPLETED THE REQUIREMENTS FOR GRADUATION AS PRESCRIBED BY THE CORRY AREA HIGH SCHOOL AND IS • HEREBY AWARDED THIS DIPLOMA GIVEN • AT • COWXY • PENNSYLVANIA • THS • MONTH • OF • JUNE • 1983 High Ranking Seniors- 1983 Akam, Sherry Leiann Allender, Linda Marie Benson, Joline Kay Bova, Lisa Mary Brigham, Robert Charles Capela, Todd L. The team was short on experience, Sue Burkhart being the only player who had lettered the previous year. Two girls on the starting five were sophomores, Wendy Kennedy and Valerie Fawcett. The tallest varsity player was 5 9 . Despite these odds, the girls were competitive in many of the league games. They worked hard to improve and in the second round games were stronger both offensively and defensively as indicated in the second round scores. Sue Burkhart was team captain for the 82-83 Beaverettes. She played in every quarter of all games and was the highest scoring Corry player. She had the second most steals for the team, and was number three in rebounds. 94 Row 1 - Jane Higgins. Lori Johnson, Lisa Vanderhoof. Joelle Patterson, Chris Fenton, Amy Steuart. Missing from the photo is Mr. Skladanowski,. A visit to the Berlin Wall, which divides the country of Germany into East and West Germany, and Dachau concentration camp where thousands were killed, gives one the realization of the divided country and the torment the people went through as a result of Adolf Hitler, the man who led the Nazi Party. Southern Germany is an area of many historical and beautiful landmarks. Rothenburg is an example of one of these landmarks. This small village surrounded by a wall is one of the remains of the Medieval Age with its narrow streets and quaint little shops. Some more landmarks are the castle Neuschwanstein, that Walt Disney bought the building plans from the Germans to build the castles at Disneyland and Dis-neyworld. Other sites are Nymphemburg Castle, the summer home of King Ludwig, and the Wies-kirche, where the statue of Jesus bled and thousands flock each year. Austria also has its beautiful aspects such as the Vantrapp house used in the Sound of Music and the magnanimous Alps. Without a trip to Munich, seeing the Glockenspiel, and going to the Hofbrauhaus, one could not say they had been to Munich. A cruise on the Rhein River is the scene of many beautiful old castles and the grape vineyards growing on the sides of the hills. Auf Wiedersehen 1S7 SPANISH CLUB Row 1: Julie Ploss, Lisa McIntyre.
