BUT IF YOU LOOK AT THE GROWTH AND THE MATURITY, THE SELF PRIDE, AND INDIVIDUAL ACCOMPLISHMENT OF EACH TENNIS TEAM MEMBER, THEN WE ARE NOT-AS THE RECORD INDICATES-LOSERS. THE COUNTY HAD VETER. ANS OF 3 YEARS PLAYING OUR INDIVIDUALS WHO PREVIOUSLY WERE EXHIBITION MATCHES. THIS CAN BE SAID NOT TO GAIN SYMPATHY, BUT RATHER AS FACT. WE DID NOT GIVE UPI WE MAINTAIN JUST AS MUCH PRIDE IN OURSELVES AS IF WE HAD A WINNING RECORD. COACH WOJCICEHOWSKI 4 '5 I

Football Corry's inspiration-Frank Mr. Excitement Gerzina. The Corry Beavers finished the 1981 season with o record of 3-6. It was a disappointing year and. yet, the team showed great courage and determination. The team lost 4 of the 6 games by a total of 13 polnts. The team ex- emplified the saying, lf you have given your best, you have won. They also realized that failure was not defeat unless they stopped trying to win. They never stopped trying, and for that they can be proud. Two individuals were named to the ECL First Team. Darrell Hall. who led the ECL in scoring, was the top vote getter at running Corry's stern defensive line headed by Bryan Griswald. back. Chip Nuzzo, who led the ECL in interceptions, was an unanimous selection at defen- slve back. Three others received recognition on offense. Fullback Doug Craker and guard Drew Clark were named to the sec- ond team. Center Scott Frlsina was tabbed as honorable men- tion on defense, linebacker Tim Johnson and tackle Bryan Gris- wold were hailed as second team performers. As athletic competitors we must all remember that hard work and discipline will always lead to success.
