Rowe. Miss Rowe attended Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York for 1 Vi years. She then attended Ithaca College before beginning her teaching career in Butler, Pennsylvania. In September 1942 she came to Corry and taught typing, shorthand, and commercial subjects. In September 1953 she became advisor of the yearbook, and continued until her retirement. Miss Rowe has been a wonderful, patient teacher. We especially thank Miss Rowe for giving her time, guidance, and authority in advising our year book staffs for the past nineteen years. Since June the only thing that I thought and talked about was coming to Corry. In the months that I have been here I have discovered that the people in the United States are as friendly as in Guatemala. This year is going to be in mind forever. I will never forget the school, my friends, and teachers in C.A.H.S. nor will I forget the wonderful scenes in Corry. The grass and hills and trees are so beautiful especially in the fall when the leaves change to so many different colors. I will also remember the first day I saw snow and the fun I had with it. My experiences here and being an A.F.S. student are very personal. I am proud of A.F.S. and grateful for all of the people who made my year in Corry possible. I hope to be a good ambassador not only for my country but to A.F.S. too.
