SONG OF THE SENIORS Farewell Corry High farewell to thee; We are now going out - the world to see. We'll be parted assunder from our budding days — And each will tread his separate way. CHORUS: Farewell fleeting youth farewell to thee; We're going out — the world to see. Farewell sheltered life please wish us well; Farewell to thee. Corry High, farewell. Farewell, professors - farewell to all; We arc ready to leave these echoing halls. Farewell younger friends — sometimes we’d rather stay. Thus, with sadness and joy — farewell we say. CHORUS. Farewell fleeting youth farewell to thee; We’re going out the world to see. Farewell sheltered life please wish us well; Farewell to thee. Corry High, farewell. By Karen Cooney

Mrs. George Orcutt Only now do we. the Class of 1970. realize how swiftly the time has passed. Our Sophomore year was the beginning of our experiences together as a high school group. We will always remember the sale of class sweatshirts and our year-end trip to Conneaut Lake. But the Homecoming float, the “Pink Elephant,” will have to stand as the greatest achievement of the year. Our Junior year will always live in our memories. How could we forget our Homecoming Mother Goose float which won first prize in the competition or our great musical STOP! YOU’RE KILLING ME which was almost snowed out? There were also the class party at the YMCA, the snowmobile races, and the banquet and prom. “A Night in New Orleans,” which climaxed the social activities of the year. Our senior year was a time for fun. but more a time of decision. We were looking forward to post-commencement plans, and becoming aware that our time in Corry Area High School was nearly over. Class parties, the class play, and the banquet and prom where we would be guests of the Juniors highlighted the social part. Long hours of study, exams, applications for jobs and college admissions were the more serious part. We, the Class of '70, thank our class advisors, Mr. David Plyler, Mr. Max Ben-nink, and Mrs. George Orcutt, the faculty and administration for the cooperation and guidance they have given us during our high school years. 20
