The Land of Make Believe Foreword Backward, flow backward, 0 tide of the years! I am so weary of toil and of tears- Toil without recompense, tears all in vain- Take them and give me my childhood again. KTHE LAND OF MAKE BELIEVED may seem, at first, a rather light theme for a year book published during such troubled times. The Corrian. staff, however, firmly believes that every- one is better able to face the serious situations which confront him, if he cherishes cheerful and pleasant memories of the past. With this thought in mind, the staff has en- deavored to prepare an annual which will carry the reader back to his childhood through a medium of dreams and nursery rhymes. But the joyous theme in uso, Like the tale of Mother Goose, In myth and fable so abounds, It quite bewilders and confouuds. 2
