THE CHARIOTEER Class Officers President Vice President Secretary Treasurer Sophomore Jack Whitehead William Zaflropulos Ruby Hildebrand Joel la Weslly Junior William Zafiropulos Frank Frisina Joanne Miller Ruby Hildebrand Senior William Zafiropulos Frank Frisina Joanne Miller Patricia Cullen The class of 1948 entered the unexplored halls of Senior High as trembling sophomores in September, 1945. After a few days of exploring the frightening halls, we gained a small amount of self-confidence and settled down for the; year. Our first class meeting was held in the auditorium at which time Mr. Sheen gave us a few much needed words of encouragement. At this meeting we also elected our class officers and under their capable leadership we finished our sophomore year in Senior High. After vacation we came back, full of pep. We were determined to show the rest of the school that we were really wide-awake. We elected officers and set sail on a grand and glorious year. Our accomplishments were a splendid Junior play and a prom which everyone will remember as the most beautiful one that was ever given. Our senior year, which was a busy one. began with the election of officers. Throughout the year, there were various class events. Some of the lighter events were the Senior Class Dance which was held the Friday before graduation, the Junior-Senior Class picnic held the following Monday, Class-day moving up exercises on Tuesday, and the Alumni banquet and dance which was held on the Thursday after Graduation. Some of our more serious events were the Baccalaureate Exercises, in charge of the Ministerial Association, and finally, “Graduation.” With this list of interesting events, we ended our career at Senior High School. 7
