Long years ago a winter sun Shane over it at setting' Lit up its western window' panes And low eaves' icy fretting Whittier s Foreword THIS BOOK was written for three reasons: First, to keep alive tradition. Second, to present the events of the 1946-1947 school year. Third, to produce a record of all graduates of Corry High School The task of obtaining addresses of all graduates has been a tremendous one. Early in September, 1946 over a thousand cards were mailed to Alumni members whose addresses were known. These cards, in addition to obtain- ing information about the members contacted, asked for news of those whose whereabouts were unknown to Alumni and school officials. The response was most gratifying but several records are still incomplete. Corry residents were notified of the project through the Corry Evening Journal. The staff sincerely hopes that you will enjoy reading about your class- mates and regrets any errors that may appear. It was at first hoped to include positions held by the various graduates but lack of response made this phase of the book impossible. The members of the Corrian hope that each and every one of the read- ers of our yearbook have a pleasant journey .... . . . . . . DOWNMEMORYLANE. 2
