Photo by Davis. fait. I Jak... ,,., C-C-Cam Even though Coronado stu- dents had more rules to follow, they didn't let those rules conflict with the reason they were at CHS. Their desires, talents, and goals kept them participating in Coro- nado life. Each individual chose hislher area of Coronado life to be involved in. While some students spent more time away from school and developed their own hobbies, oth- ers caught the spirit and went to football games, attended Hay Fever, and participated in lunch activities. All of the students, caught the classes. Because of a new rule that all students must have classes from first hour to fourth hour, the students spent a lot of their time doing homework and studying for tests. Also, a greater percentage of students took ad- vanced classes than in previous years, because of a growing crav- ing for knowledge. The number of clubs also grew and created a greater variety of clubs to be involved with. Many of the students preferred to be involved in sports. They en- joyed being part of the action, and competing for CHS. They were the ones who risked injuring themselves in order to show that Coronado students had talent and ability. Opening 5

Don! gel' uwflvalicl After school and on weekends, most students spent lots of time with their friends at the liver, Saguaro Lake, the movies, and at shopping centers. During the school day though, they raise money for special events and causes. One thing that was sold during lunch time was CHS sweat- shirts, which raised a lot of money for the senior class. Dunking for apples, spitting pump- kin seeds, and beating up a Power Tech auto were some of the high- lights of how Coronado students and faculty Caught the Spirit.
