dons capture league division crown After beating the Mesa .Jack- rabbits 21-19 for the Central Division title, the varsity football team took on the undefeated Central Bobcats in semi-final state play. Coronado kept a 7- O lead up until the fourth quar- ter when Central scored on a short pass. With no time left and the score tied 7-7 the Ari- zona Playoff rule was put into effect. Central ran up the most yards in their alloted time and therefore won the game. don eleven overwhelm tempe high Pre-season preparations helped the j.v. football team to a shutout victory over the Tempe Buffaloes in the first game of the season. The win- ning streak carried through the fourth game of the season when they slipped past the Saguaro Sabercats by one point. Injuries sustained by the quarterback and several other players forced them to drop the next four games.
