Volleyball: Corona came up with a win against Arlington with the scores of 15-7, 8-15, and 15-6. The offense pulled together for the win, while the de¬ fense held off Arlington ' s attack. Courtney McAleese and Jeanette Kearney held the offense and defense together with help form Corky Davis and Debbie Enriquez. Against Colton however, the Panthers did not fair so well. They came very close to pulling one out in the last game with a score of 12-15 (Colton). The team came from behind only to have their chance foiled when they gave up the ball and Coltons fine offense pulled out a win. Tennis: In tennis against Arlington, Corona came up with a win, with fine showings by Denise Frances, Shellie Miller, and the doubles team of Nancy Cleveland and Pennie Pollock. Against Colton this week another win jacked up the spirits of the Panthers who are looking for a high place in the league stand¬ ings this year. Cross Country: Corona walked all over Arlington. The Panthers placed In the first five notches before Arlington runners even crosses the finish. Top runners were Robert Arguelles, Dixon Kummer, and Robert Rohe. This is just the be¬ ginning of a hopefully good season as the Panthers look for yet another 1st place year. Football: Corona chalked up another win as it rolled over Colton, 13-8. The defense again made a good showing as it held Colton to only 6 points, and helped by setting up our first score late In the third period. Photos: 1. Chris Cook 2. Corky Davis 3. Louis Garcia 4.
