Remember The Twelve Days of School and Tiptoe through the Tulips ? With the school cheering, the Cheer¬ leaders would lead and the Songies and Sign Carriers would perform while our Panther Band played. Then, Sam and Samantha reigned as King and Queen of our Carnival while the jesters tried to please their every whim. And what about Certs... we never really did find out what they are ? Juniors won in the mighty struggle between classes which included a toilet paper race, balloon carry (on a spoon), peanut roll with noses, and clothes pin drop into a milk bottle. The Volks¬ wagen stuffing contest ended with GAA and the Band both stuffing 18 people for first place. Many of the members of each club were crushed to pint size. Slobs were all you could see on our fair campus Wednesday since it was officially named Slob Day . Other activities during the week were the Chug-a-Lug Contest, the Shoe Race, and the Spirit Assembly. The basketball game on Friday night against Norco, (we won!) and the dance following, along with the Car Rally sponsored by the Choir, rounded out the week of spirit and fun. Odair Justo, or Dino as he has been nicknamed, is our own foreign exchange student for the ' 68- ' 69 school year. Dino comes from Santos Sao Paulo, Brazil and is staying with the Von Sothen family. The change of countries, though, has not effected him too much, as can be seen by his active participation in school projects. He enjoys surfing, skiing, swimming and playing various instru¬ ments, as well as being a member of the track team. During Spirit Week his activities were especially enjoyed by the entire student body-he won the prize for the Hairiest Legs . This is one student Corona Senior High will never forget! Hard work, day after day, leaving the school just before dark, and weary and confused minds, partially describe some of our lives this past year. Busily we worked, using masses of copy, pictures and layout forms. But our job hasn ' t been such an unhappy one. For when the end of the year comes along, our labors are rewarded with this book, Coronal ' 69 . We would like to give special thanks to several, who have given us a great deal of help. First of all we want to thank Mr. Briggs, the Daily Independent , Jim Coffman and the KO-in-NUR . Next we would like to thank Mr. Baughman for our cover design, and last but not least, Mr. Newell, our advisor, for his patience. 203 cv Ay ' r L ' LS A J f 0 V ( 7 V ,1 ' W( O ' v y AO K « £lf A V v V?
