r HEME Imagination, desire, vitality, experiment, dreams; these are youth ' s contribution to progress. This is best exemplified by the Hot Rod,” the theme of our 1957 Coronal. Split manifolds, dual exhausts, shaved cylin- der heads, dual carburetors, and underslung bodies are a few of the many ideas of youth which have made the automobile what it is today. The Hot Rod is but a symbol of youth ' s ingenuity. It is conceivable that some of our own class will in some measure con- tribute to the advancement of music, science, industry or culture. The 1957 Coronal is a pictorial review of the activities of the past year. The students who took part in these events have displayed their abilities and leadership. It is expected that these qualities will carry over into their chosen fields and it is hoped that the Hot Rod symbol will spur them on to bigger and greater accomplishments. HOT RODS
