Sc tC(yi School @wiokcl, (Zalifautict, 7 tt ‘Tttento ' Uam His personality expressed in our campus. Carl was a caretaker, a man who left a little bit of himself in every tree, and bush, and blade of grass around us. He left us, personally, but he will still be seen from time to time, tending the campus, carrying his keys. Carl, short and smiling, is still with us. 7 rci dchxol Ck ci teet-ayvi d fot-iad eve tww The roar of exhaust, warm with hot gas- es of flaming motor . . . the hum of tires along the smooth pavement . . . Pleasant sounds. Sounds we of the Coronal Staff want to capture for you between these covers, because they are a part of the happi- ness of Corona High, a part of teen age life. Thus we turn our theme, not to sweet and poignant memories, but to the lighter side — to the fun of high school. Let ' s start the motor . . . Mrs. Marion Griswold, the first lady of the school. me Here are two people who are vitally concerned with the welfare of the girls of Corona High. Here are two of the quietest mose effective workers. Here are two who hold authority but never flaunt it. Here are two who are con- stantly behind us, directing us. These two are Mrs. Marion Griswold and Mrs. Lois Tait. We see them as representing a high standard of moral character on our faculty. We dedicate the 1952 Coronal to them, and all they stand for. It ' s now time for us to tell every- body what a fine job they did, and sort of pass out the orchids. Well, I don ' t need to say any- thing, really. Just take another look through this book. You ' ll see what I mean. We ' ve seen some hard workers this year. John Ragsdale, strange as it seems, never missed a deadline. Bev Hastings, who often sat up until midnight, some- times got her space bar confused with her margin release. Carol Lane, at the beginning of the year, had the prodigious job of sorting out and as- signing numbers to five hundred and fifty CHS students. Bob Shaw, who turned out to be the most industrious individual on the staff, and Harley Robertson, who ran the rounds with of- ficial photographer Rudy Ramos were often seen on Coronal Work. Yes, it ' s been a pleasant jour- ney, but it ' s time to re-fuel. We ' ve an even long- er trip ahead of us.
